Just a click away and everything is at your fingertips. The Internet has certainly brought the world closer to us.

With technology advancing at full speed, I am sure every household would own at least a computer and programs such as facebook and Twitter would not sound unfamiliar to us. The Internet allowed us to find our childhood friends, make new friends from all over the world and also to catch up with our old friends without leaving the house.

The Internet, a tool that helped us in communicating better with our friends, family members and surprisingly, our teachers too, was made a significant impact on our lives. Take Blogger for example, this blog-hosting site has up to 10million users under it. With just internet connection and a keyboard, you can easily pour out your problems and rant about how bad your day was. Apart from that, readers can also write down their comments and there you have someone whom you could share your views with.

Also, communication devices such as instant messenger, has provided us with another avenue for communication. Just as 'instant' as it's name suggests, you can chat with your friends and find out what they are doing right away!

Nevertheless, we should not depend too much on the oh-so-perfect invention. Have we rely too much on the Internet that we forget the true meaning of communication? When we get too glued to the screen, we tend to disconnect from the real world. As we gets more 'social' on the Internet, we would become more of an anti-social in the real world. Ironic isn't it?
